RSI Biodiesel Systems are designed to recover solvents from Biodiesel waste solvent streams contaminated with non adhering (non sticking) contaminates such as Biodiesel and/or Glycerin, and either Methanol or Ethanol. An application for these types of systems is in the generation of Biodiesel, where waste or new cooking oil is transformed into industrial grade diesel fuel. These Biodiesel Systems are capable of distilling solvent, generally Methanol or Ethanol, at any rate from up to 1 GPM to 15 GPM, depending on the Ethanol or Methanol content of the contaminated fluid, to be recovered and the amount of heat pumped into the process.

The Waste solvent of either Methanol or Ethanol stream enters the distiller chamber, and is heated to the vaporization point of the solvent. The process can take place under vacuum up to 15" Hg, which can significantly reduce the boiling point of either Methanol or Ethanol.

Vaporized Methanol or Ethanol solvent is condensed back to liquid in a Tube-n-Tube condenser, and drains by gravity and vacuum into the distilled solvent tank (s).

Electric pumps keep the system under vacuum, and automatically transfer the still tank remainder and the distilled Methanol or Ethanol solvents on to other process points.
