Technical Information
The RSI-30, a 30 gallon tank capacity solvent recovery system is designed to be durable, portable, simple to operate and safe, even with flammable petroleum solvents. Currently the only 30 gallon portable solvent distillation system on the market, the RSI-30 gallon capacity systems will meet the solvent recycling needs of most volume users. The RSI-30's tank capacity is 30 gallons (113 liters), and can recycle three 55 gallon drums of solvent per week when operated for just one eight hour shift 5 days per week.
Rugged: The RSI-30 is manufactured to take the punishment of industrial use. The tank, condenser and system case are 100% stainless steel for rugged good looks and extreme durability. The stainless case and tank are easy to clean and resist all solvents and most acids for outstanding durability. All RSI solvent distillation systems design is modular, so parts can be easily replaced oe exchanged if damaged.
Safe: Solvent distillation is controlled by low-voltage, 'Intrinsically Safe' Fuji = s. High voltage components are housed in NEMA-rated explosion proof. The 5.5KW heater operates in an oil jacket, eliminating A hot spots @ . A over temperature breaker in the heater stops the process in case thermal control is lost.
Simple: The RSI-30 is truly easy to use. The operator fills the system with dirty solvent, sets the solvent distillation temperature according to the product to be recovered, connects water or the recirculating water pump and an empty solvent drum, presses the start button on the Fuji controller and walks away. The water re-circulator is wired so as to be automatic, the system operates unattended and shuts off automatically when completed . The process monitor has a color-coded face plate with suggested process temperature ranges in plain English. Except for keeping the system clean, there is no periodic maintenance.
Fast: The RSI-30 gallon system has a 5500 watt, 220 Volt electric heater for fast, safe solvent recycling. A water-cooled tube-in-tube condenser provides the most efficient and reliable condensing system available, making the entire system maintenance-free. Depending on the solvent type, the RSI-30 can recover approximately 60 gallons of solvent per day. And all RSI systems are built to withstand vacuum for even faster distillation.
Versatile: One of the few systems that is truly portable, Recycling Sciences distillation systems have built-in casters and can be simply rolled from one department to another. An empty system can be lifted by two men or rolled up a ramp if motor transport is required. And a 30 foot (10 meter) power cord between the electric control panel containing the Fuji, is provided to make connection in each location easy (Warning: Users are cautioned to provide adequate ventilation so as to not create an explosive atmosphere around the wall plug connection)
Economical: The RSI-30 pays for itself quickly. Balance the cost of hauling, storing and accounting for spent solvents (classified by Environmental Protection Agency as hazardous waste) versus recycling these on-site and getting the solvents back for reuse. With the price of solvents going ever upward, and the price of pickup and disposal even more expensive, one does not have to be an accountant to figure out that the purchase and use of an RSI-15 results in a very quick payback to the purchaser .
